Route Description

A walk around Wentworth along lanes, woods and fields taking in the follies of Hoober Stand and Needle’s Eye.

The walk starts from Wentworth village car park, near the Rockingham Arms and along Clayfields Lane to the end of the village. There is then a little road walking before we follow a lane up to the hamlet of Street and Hoober Stand. We return along a lane into Lea Brook and through fields to Needle’s Eye, in and around King’s Wood and then back into Wentworth, uphill along several fields and over a few easy stiles.
