The meeting point will be at Ecclesfield Park Car Park (opposite Morrisons). We will join the Trans Pennine Trail on Station Road and make our way down to Butterthwaite the pass through a bridle path to Grange Lane. On entering the grounds of Thundercliffe Grange (once the hunting lodge of Wentworth Woodhouse) the path will take us into Barber Wood. We will rejoin the TPT at Blackburn and return back to Ecclesfield for out optional debrief at The Travellers. There are two busy roads and care also needs to be taken on Grange Lane where there is no pavement. Also watch out for tree roots and stones.
