Route Description

A varied circular walk from the Longshaw / Fox House area, heading onto White Edge and the open moorland of Totley Moor and Big Moor before returning through the quieter paths around Stoke Flat, Nether Padley and Upper Padley. The route combines wide Peak District views, gritstone edge scenery, open heathland, woodland and field paths.

Starting from Longshaw, this route by Sheffield Walkers heads out towards White Edge, quickly gaining the open moorland feel with broad views across Totley Moor and Big Moor, with exposed paths, big skies and classic Dark Peak scenery.

The route continues to deliver big views from Curbar and Froggatt Edges before picking up quieter tracks and paths towards Nether Padley. The final section climbs gently back to Longshaw using a mix of woodland and field paths. Expect uneven and potentially muddy ground on the moorland and woodland sections.
