Route Description

A walk which offers incredible views of the Hope Valley, firstly from the Great Ridge, then from the opposite side of the road into Edale.

This route is one of Gwen’s favourites and I certainly know why!
Starting in Edale, we head out of the village up to Hollins Cross and along the Great Ridge to Back Tor and Lose Hill. From here, we descend towards the Edale Road, stopping just before it and taking a path that leads past the Losehill House Hotel. This grassy route leads us to the main road which we cross, then walk through farmland and on to Backside Wood into Jaggers Clough. From here, we rise up and again follow the hillside back to Edale Youth Hostel and onwards to The Rambler Inn in Edale for a well-deserved drink!
