Circular walk from Wentworth village

Places remaining: 30

Route Description

A circular walk from Wentworth village, heading down through Elsecar, through woodland and open fields up to ‘The Needle’, passing Hoober Stand, through the hamlet of Hoober, down to Nether Haugh for the Rockingham Mausoleum and through fields leading to the Wentworth Woodhouse parklands.

There is potential for the ground to be muddy underfoot in places, but the general terrain is good with no major obstacles. There are a couple of easy stiles to negotiate and a short stretch of road walking which is on a wide footpath and not considered to be hazardous.
There will be an optional debrief in the George and Dragon on the return to the starting point.
