Route Description

A moorland walk providing great views of the reservoirs and city edges.

Climbing up from Cutthroat Bridge we cross the moorland overlooking the Ladybower reservoir, passing the Hordron stone circle and on towards Hollow Meadows. Crossing the A57 at Moscar we will continue across moorland to Whinstone Edge, ending the walk following Highshore Clough and the Ladybower Brook back to our start point. Lunch will depend on timing but there will be plenty of options with great views. No special hazards aside from some steady climbs and a road crossing. If heavy rain there may be a few muddy/wet sections.
