Route Description
Post Xmas Meal and Walk, with mince pies etc and mulled wine before the start.
Starting the walk at around 11.45am we turn up Parsons Lane and take the path through the works to Hope Station.
Crossing over the railway lines we then take the steady climb up through the fields to Aston Lane, turning right and along the lane joining Thornhill Lane, crossing over a tricky style and up across the field, then taking the track down to the old Thornhill Trail (this can be muddy).
Taking the trail then along to Water Lane and a short stop for refreshments at the sports field.
From there we follow the path around the fields to the back of Hope Garden Centre, crossing over the Hope Road towards and through Shatton Village. Taking the paths through a few gates and along Townfield Lane towards Brough and back to the start point where we can then look forward to our welcome meal and drinks.
