Rother Valley Country Park

Easy
October 22, 2025 @ 10:00 am3:00 pm
Free

Places remaining: 16

Route Description

The walk is very pleasant, easy with no gradients to negotiate. Passing through lovely woodland to the beautiful lakes.

The walk has well formed gravel and tarmac paths throughout there is also a small amount of pavement walking. As always watch out for branches and tree roots in the woodland area. There is a pedestrian crossing at the start of the walk to keep us safe.
We will start the walk from the meeting point in the Elmwood Farm Pub car park. We will then cross the main road and follow the gravel path which will lead us in to the woodland area. On reaching the lakes we will cross a level bridge and walk around the largest of the lakes. On completion of the circuit we will follow the same woodland path back to the Elmwood for our optional debrief.

Other Information

We have been given permission to park in the Elmwood pub carpark as long as we have a drink there after our walk. IF A LARGE NUMBER OF US WOULD LIKE TO EAT THERE, WE WILL HAVE TO BOOK. JUST SEND ME A MESSAGE AND I CAN MAKE THE ARRANGEMENTS IF SO. If anyone doesn’t want to use the car park road parking is available on Old Colliery Way behind Greggs and Starbucks. The X5 bus from Sheffield Interchange runs along the top main road but there is a bit of a walk down to the Elmwood.
