Longstone Edge from Coombs Dale

Moderate
March 12 @ 10:15 am3:00 pm
Free

Places remaining: 14

Route Description

Tread the paths where the notorious 18th century highwayman Black Harry preyed on unwary travellers.

From the car park we make the gentle ascent, of approx one mile, to Black Harry Gate, then the slightly steeper field paths to take us to Longstone Edge.  The view opens out here as we make our way along the Edge, on paths that are sometimes rocky.  We will have our lunch break at a convenient spot to take advantage of the views. At this point our route is then mainly downhill back to the start.
