Route Description

Located on the boundary of Sheffield and the Peak District National Park, this is a gentle steady walk on easy-going tracks with a chance of spotting any of the 170 plus deer en-route.

Setting off from Fox House bus shelter, we travel parallel to the Sheffield Country Walk before crossing tracks on Houndkirk Moor. After a short section alongside Hathersage Road we descend through Blacka Plantation with fine views of Sheffield, then across Totley Moor before returning to the start.

Parking: Fox House pub / laybys (free) / Longshaw Woodcroft CP (Nat Trust or pay).
