Clumber Park in Autumn

Places remaining: 18
Route Description
This is a predominantly flat walk through the National Trust Clumber Park Estate. There is a mix of woodland, grassland and waterside trails. Most of the walk will be lakeside which is alive with geese, swans, various ducks and other wildfowl.
The walk starts near the walled entrance to Clumber Park (Limetree Avenue) on the A614, opposite the Friar Tuck cafe. We will follow established trails through the park to Hardwick village, to follow a lakeside path to Clumber Bridge. There are lovely views across the lake to the impressive chapel. We cross over the bridge to start the return. The plan is to take lunch near the chapel after about 4 miles. We continue along the lake to Hardwick village with its impressive buildings before following a woodland trail back to the starting point.
There are no stiles and the soil is light, sandy and well drained so hopefully your boots will stay clean!
