DESCRIPTION:Route Description\nA walk up two of the finest hills in the Peak District with magnificent views to reward the effort. \nStarting near Brough\, we walk through Hope and up to the base of Back Tor on the Great Ridge. From there we climb to Lose Hill then descend to Townhead before crossing under the railway at Normans Farm. Good footwear and care when descending is advised. There may be plenty of mud. \nAnd as its the festive season\, we can pop out for a curry after the walk either in Hope or Hathersage. DESCRIPTION:Route Description\n9:15 START £3 or bus pass required.\nLInear walk meeting at Whirlow Park Gates. 9:22am bus to Bamford station. \nFrom Bamford\, pass the station and up the lane. Across Sickleholme golf course (heads down) onto the lane to Nether Hurst. Continue East and around Birley Farm then downhill to pass above Hathersage church. Continue East steadily up Callow Bank to Burbage Bridge. Taking the high path along the top of Burbage Rocks until a branch left across to Ox Stones (may be boggy). The track continues into Lady Channing Plantation and out onto Houndkirk Road. DESCRIPTION:Route Description\nA guided walk on the north side of Sheffield \nFrom Bolsterstone\, this circular route takes the high ground above Ewden Valley with views across to Wharncliffe Crags before dropping down to the Eastern end of the valley past the Wantley Dragon. We then follow the southern sides of More Hall and Broomhead reservoirs before climbing back up to Bolsterstone. This circular route is just under 7 miles. DESCRIPTION:Route Description\nThe best way to end the year…. a nice walk followed by a Chip Butty \nStarting from the church at Grindleford\, we walk towards Froggatt Bridge and take a steady climb to Froggartt Edge. The top of the path here involves some mild scrambling / big step up onto the edge. Apart from creating some hunger for the chip butty\, this will give you a nice view if the weather plays ball. The rest is down hill – along Froggartt Edge\, then through Hay Wood following our noses to the cafe at Grindleford Station.
